CONCEPT:
The story of the next generation of athletes. A generation that is not motivated by “participation trophies” but driven by goals they place on themselves to reach their maximum potential.
This will be the story of the first phase of the process, the beginning of the journey, and the mindset of getting 1% better everyday.
It will showcase the daily grind, the unseen hours, the sweat, and the understanding that success is not achieved overnight and goals are only reached by putting one foot in front of the other and getting to work.
In the bigger picture, there will be an underlying theme showcasing that this work ethic is about more than just sports. Its preparation for life. that no matter where the “Road” leads, no matter what “curveballs" come their way, they are learning the value of a solid work ethic, perseverance, grit and ultimately preparing for success.
CREATIVE:
Similar to what you would expect to see from a major sports brand. Cinematic, Real, Raw. Primarily handheld and shot in real time with a few key shots potentially in slow motion (slow motion may be better for shot stories)
This is a story about the process and the grind. Shots need to support that with legit action and sequencing in line with reality. early mornings, sweat, work, recovery, etc.
I think there can also be an element of looking up to current athletes (watching on TV, on social, etc.)
Story must be filmed with focus not only on the big picture but the details…Blisters, ice, struggle to get out of bed in the morning, outside distractions.etc. etc. etc. With that being said, the piece must paint the picture of self motivation and the end goal being worth the sacrifice (as opposed to parental pressure and youth burnout)
Voice over driven, this piece could either feature one persons consistent voice representing all the athletes or will be a compilation of a handful of athletes spoken word.
